Baby's On Fire
"I get real paid, what you think I do this for?"
Oh dudes, you have got to watch this video of Jimmy Kimmel on Leno last night
, in which he trashes Leno over the Conan debacle. From videogum
"Even if you have found this entire late night thing to be boring and/or a noisy distraction from the very real tragedies that are happening in the world every day, to which I say YOU ARE PROBABLY RIGHT, it is pretty rare that someone takes anything as seriously or is willing to express themselves as plainly on national television as Jimmy Kimmel did last night. For that alone, it's notable, and exciting. This should happen more often, and about things that have even larger affects on the plight of human beings in the world. There are a lot of Jay Lenos out there, and some of them have actual power that really matters. Let us stand up to them! Why aren't we all standing up to them! Today we are all Jimmy Kimmel. FREEDOM!"

Chris Brown doing community service... the fact this is available for all to see on YouTube makes it feel a little bit like justice.
Because I work in a political office, I get to watch the Oliphant Inquiry ALL DAY LONG. It is such incredible comedy, and almost make the Mulroney years worthwhile.
Richard Wolson just read a section of a letter from Schreiber to Mulroney in which Schreiber recommended an herbal supplement to Mulroney, and Brian responded WITH A PERFECTLY STRAIGHT FACE that he doesn't recall ever taking said supplement. This is juicy stuff, people.

PBR and such
Where the Wild Things Are: The MovieVideogum
"This thing seriously looks scientifically designed to fuck up the hipsters' shit. Do the math. Spike Jonze + Arcade Fire + Nostalgia + Magic + Monsters + Divorced Moms + Snowballs + Scribble Font + Shouting Off a Cliff. Throw in a scene in which the Wild Things are pounding PBRs while complaining about their freelance graphic design jobs, and Williamsburg would be washed away by a tidal wave of you know what. Whatever, I'll take the train up there. Let's die together."
